Homemade Recipes To Remove Wine Stains From Clothes

How to remove dry wine stains, or the most recent ones with homemade recipes? It is not necessary to spend a lot, with cheap products it can be achieved. In Bloghogar we make war against stains, in another post we talk about how to clean upholstery, today we tell you ‘how to attack’ wine stains.

Often when you make a lunch or dinner and serve wine it is almost a universal rule that some drop will end up on the tablecloth, the napkin or even on the clothes. With these tricks we make it a little easier for you to eliminate wine stains.

Anti-Stain Tricks According To Fabric

Grease stains like wine stains are sometimes very tough. The type of fabric is important when dealing with a stain, a silk fabric is not the same as a cotton one, there are different ones. As a rule, the more recent the stain, the easier it will be that if we act we will be able to remove it. If it dries out, we will remove it but “the fight” will be a little bigger. On delicate fabrics, work on the back of the fabric and always test in an area that cannot be seen.

For Yarn, Lycra, Nylon And Cotton Garments

We will act as follows:

It does not rub, if you rub the stain spreads. Put baking soda around the stain or salt to prevent the stain from spreading as you work.

Dilute three caps of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water. First of all, with an old toothbrush, apply hydrogen peroxide to an area of the garment that cannot be seen (to see that it does not discolor it).

Then with the brush, impregnate the stain with the water from the glass. Do not rub, use a cloth and dab small damp on the stain. Repeat this process several times. Leave the stain in contact with the water in the glass without rubbing, if the garment is very large you can put it in a bucket and let it be in contact with the water + hydrogen peroxide for about 15 minutes. Place a towel on the inside of the stain to prevent it from transferring to the other side of the garment.

Hydrogen peroxide is magic is what many cleaning products call active oxygen. In wine, blood or fruit stains, hydrogen peroxide works wonders.

If the stain has disappeared a lot, put a little laundry dishwasher or a little lizard soap on the stain and rub a little. Leave the stain for several hours soaked in hot milk. You will see that the stain is gone, wash the garment in the washing machine and put a little hydrogen peroxide first on the stain.

If it has fallen on the tablecloth, you can sprinkle it with salt and try to wash it as soon as possible. If the stain is red wine, you can add vinegar or white wine, let it act and wash.

Remove Dry Red Wine Stains

These dry wine stains are more difficult to remove, but not impossible. Again, make sure that the entire process to erase the stain does not rub, as this will only make the stain more on the fabric.

You Will Need To:

– Fairy type dishwasher
– Water
– Peroxide
– Towel
– White cloth cloths or paper towels
– Cream of tartar or tartaric acid (it is used in pastry making the doughs fluff, you can find it in supermarkets and it is also useful to remove these types of stains)

Process:

Before proceeding to remove the stain, do a test on an area of ??the fabric with hydrogen peroxide to make sure it does not lose color.

It is important not to rub so that the stain does not spread. You work from the external area of ??the stain inward to the opposite place and put a little talcum powder or salt around the stain.

Place a towel on the inside of the garment to prevent it from transferring to the other side.

In a glass, mix a spoonful of dishwasher a little water and a cap of hydrogen peroxide. Stir well and apply with a cloth that is prepared on the stain, but do not rub. Dab small dabs with a cloth soaked in this liquid, leave the garment for about 15 minutes so that it absorbs well our homemade stain remover.

The stain must have disappeared a lot, if you see that there is still enough left, you can use a paste made with cream of tartar and a few drops of lemon. You put it on top and let it rest for several hours, (with a towel inside the garment so that it does not spread). Then wash in the washing machine. You will see that the stain will disappear.
