Thank you all...

Thank you all for your support during this difficult transitional period.

I apologize for my error over my internet discussion group and again thank all those who have taken steps to protect the privacy and relationships which I still very much value.

In the past I have experienced similar strange mistakes. I, and perhaps everyone from time to time become victims of their on subconscious, or “less than conscious’ mind. I find that under prolonged stressful situations there are functions in my life which I believe are connected in fact to my own Buddha nature that will often emerge to handle business when I find myself in an emotional straight-jacket and unable to do so.

None the less it is not my wish to be a hurtful person, especially to those who, while they may have become neglectful in their relationships with me, have certainly not wronged me in anyway.

In conclusion I wish to thank everyone for their continued support, both emotionally and in their judicious use of the delete key.

Rev. Greg Dilley, Shidoshi

You have left us in the dark long enough. Come on, open up and enlighten us as to what you are referring to in this cryptic post!!! As you know, I am not EMLIGHTENED enough to figure it out on my own...

Re your reference to somebody called Kathy and here comment "People who are active in destructive cults such as SGI are
very well-functioning people because otherwise they cannot contribute with anything to the cult. This is why there are no handicapped people in SGI." and "SGI is only interested in people who are independent enough to not need help."
What a load of absolute crap. I can tell you for a fact there are many many handicapped members who contribute greatly to the organization, and I have seen tremendous support for these same people given in return. I am not a great lover of all the organization does, but I do recognize malicious slander when I read it.

uh - some one said the L-word!

hi greg. this should cheer you up! :) I´ve written some more "hot stuff" on SGI. It´s from an e-mail with someone whose name is Kathy.

Best regards
Peter :

"SGI is some great monolithic structure -- like a totalitarian government or
a big corporation". This is correct. It is. I have nothing against any
individual SGI-person. Basically every one I have met in SGI Denmark have
been good people. People who are active in destructive cults such as SGI are
very well-functioning people because otherwise they cannot contribute with
anything to the cult. This is why there are no handicapped people in SGI.
SGI-leaders claims that chanting can make lame people move, but actually SGI
is only interested in people who are independent enough to not need help.

Of course, you cannot mention three things about SGI doctrines which you
don´t approve of. I´ll do it for you. Here´s four things, I don´t like:

1. The cult of personality surrounding Ikeda (and Toda/Magikuchi).

2. The opposition against Nichiren Shoshu.

3. The spiritual materialism.

4. Nichiren Shonin as more important than Shakimuni.

You say that you were down without a goal in life at the age of 25 but you
don´t mention what it is SGI has done for you?
Could you mention one credible thing SGI has really helped you with?

In the book "The Buddha in the Daily Life" there´s some credible
"experiences" about how SGI has helped people in England. I read those. When
I was active in SGI completely opposite stories were told at meetings. I
mean, the most ludicrous stories of "faith healing" and stuff like that. But
the author of "Buddha in the Daily Life" managed to put down three credible
"experiences" of how SGI in England has helped people, I admit that.

You say that, SGI people "create value" by chanting and other people do not?
How can does chanting create value?
Would you explain this? Chanting nam-myo-ho-renge-kyo is a type of "mantra-yoga" or "sound-yoga". This is an ancient Indian technique.

I for one have not supported you at all. You're just mean. And I have kept copies of every e-mail you have sent me, so don't step out of line again! (hey, that's what Lisa Jones said to me once...)

Instead of "sarcasm" how about "scar-casm". That's where mine comes from.
