It has been suggested, during this current debate regarding routine male circumcision, that I am defending my perspective and that "anyone" can post to the internet (which of course is true).
The following page hosts an organization of Doctors who oppose circumcision.

I was born with hypospadius in 1950. This was not exactly the day of precision plastic surgery. Hypospadius is a malformation of the urethra. My mom must have been mortified. Circumcision was delayed until I was five or so when they would use some of the foreskin for grafting. There were two more major surgeries after that. Now that's pain, baby.
It seems to me that circumcision is both a cosmetic and medical option. Men are typicallyu not very clean - some can't even keep their ass clean - how clean will they keep their units? As a competitive athlete and Veteran, I saw a great many men from the waist down. Call it a biased opinion, but an uncircumsized penis is ugly. Take a survey of women - hell, ask the Fab 5 and I'm sure they'll agree that a circumcized unit is preferable.
Pain? Life is all about pain, Rev. Greg. IMO Dr, Mimi didn't deserve that. And what the hell does this have to do with Buddhism?
