The truth hurts

Especially if you are the one doing it

In answer to your query Dr. Mimi; You are a practicing MD. "Your" perspective affects the ignorant. As I never finished my medical training I am free to have any cock-eyed perspective I wish, no one is harmed by it.

You - on the other hand - are a professional baby-penis-cutter.

Yes yes, that is a harsh perspective-twisting way to state what it is that you do once or twice a week, under the guise of legal medicine, but then again that is what it appears to be in accordance to *my* perspective.

What do I want? I would like you to stop cutting baby penises. Seeing as you are, so far, the only MD who commented on my blog, you are the first I will ask.

Do I need to pay you a sum for each family you refuse to perform this twisted and violent procedure on? How much would that cost me? (since you seem to imply that you don't make much money doing your little sexual-assualt thing to babies)...

Greg,

Now you are just trolling and baiting.

I did read the website you posted. It described instances of circumcision gone wrong, circumcision done without consent. Reading the website did not change my mind about the procedure. That does not make me ignorant, but it does mean I have a different point of view from you.

What's your agenda, Greg? What are you gaining from repeatedly slandering my point of view? Do you honestly think hurling insults furthers your cause?

Thanks Danna - for your voice of reason. BTW - what were Dr. Mimi's "good points" regarding circumcision? I think I missed them...

Dear Rev. Greg,

Ok... you know I love you dearly and I respect the things you say. I also believe that you've said a few things to Dr. Mimi that we're a hit below the belt. You both have very good points, and there is not going to be a winner in this fight so it's time to take off your gloves and shake hands and agree to disagree.

And Dr. Mimi sorry I mixed up the country stuff...geography was never my thing I'm more of a people person, comes from working 10 years in personnel at Bronco Wine Co.. I'm currently working with Autistic children at Wakefield school in Turlock.

So let's just respect eachother... OK!?

By the way, to Dr. Mimi and anyone who is reading. There are two pages being pointed two in the last blog. The first is on the title, the second is pointed to by the only sentence in the body of the blog.

Medical Literature or not, take a look....

Well, there you go. It's legal.

You didn't actually read that page Dr. Mimi, did you? If I were you, I wouldn't have either. Protection in ignorance. Just close your eyes and walk back into your office.

Oh well, something to think about next time you find yourself sexually mutilating a little boy because of "religious or cultural reasons".

Below is the 1999 position statement on circumcision from the American Academy of Pediatrics:

http://www.aap.org/advocacy/archives/marcircum.htm

Yes, circumcision is a procedure done mainly for religious and cultural reasons. Your mileage may vary on whether it is morally acceptible. It is still a legal procedure. Despite the policy statement in 1999, the controversy in the medical community continues about the protective effects of circumcision.
