Nothing Is More Certain Than Actual Proof
The main Stupa crowning Borobudur Buddhist monument, Java, Indonesia. The largest Buddhist monument in the world built in 8th century by Sailendra dynasty. The upper rounded terrace with rows of bell shaped stupas contained Buddha images symbolize Arupadhatu, the sphere of formlesness. The main stupa itself is empty, symbolizing complete perfection of enlightenment.
The Lotus Sutra Temple Borobudur still survives after a thousand years even though it lies in the worst volcanic and earthquake prone area of the globe. The Sho hondo didn't even survive twenty five years.
What makes the SGI think that their prayers could ever be effective for traversing the great ocean of life and death when they couldn't even get over a stream two feet wide with billions or trillions of Daimoku for the Sho Hondo? Nothing is more certain than actual proof.
They are deluding themselves that the SGI faith is effective. On the contrary, like the Sho Hondo, the SGI faith leads to personal destruction. To take this analogy further, the "happiness" of the SGI members is just as fleeting as the Sho Hondo.

Wise Rulers and Good Priests
"...And these noble Bodhisattvas took the vow in the presence of of Shakyamuni Buddha, Taho, and all the Emmanation Buddhas, that they would appear in this world at the beginning of the period of Deprevation for the sublime purpose of propagating the Five Words entrusted to them. How can they not appear now? When The Four Great Bodhisattvas adopt an aggressive attitude, they will manifest themselves as wise rulers who will make unwise rulers accept the faith, and when they take a persuasive attitude, they will manifest themselves as priests who will let others keep the truth."
