How Not To Close Out One's Life

1) Having turned Buddhism into a losing political party.

2). Having turned the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Daishonin into a cult and laughingstock of the greater Nichiren community.

3). Turning out one shameful leader and disciple after another.

4). Turning people away from Shakyamuni Buddha and towards yourself.

5) Having destroyed the faith in the Mystic Law of hundreds of thousands of Americans by virtue of your megalomania and bizarre interpretation of the Lotus Sutra and teachings of Nichiren Daishonin.

6). Fostering co-dependency instead of leaders of the multitude.

7). Raising instead of capable leaders, sycophants stained with the Three Poisons.

8). Spreading not only the anti-value creation teachings of the Soka gakkai but the downright slanderous teachings of Nichikan and his mandala.

9). Causing millions of people to hate the real Nichiren Daishonin while trying to rewrite the history of the Great Man and his core beliefs.

10). All the sufferings of an entire lifetime descending upon you like a plague of locusts.

No contradiction, faith.

Keep contradicting yourself. It shows what a reasonable man you are.

No. I encountered the Gohonzon from the Great Muni. Same as Nichiren and same as Ikeda. But Ikeda is a faithless icchantika, as are you.

So Mark, as you've encountered the Gohonzon through Ikeda's and SGI member's efforts...

The only thing Nichikan, Ikeda, and you have in common is that you are all slanderers residing in the Lower Worlds.

Posted by: Mark Rogow at February 10, 2010 08:16 AM

I'm pretty sure that Nichikan wrote nothing about Ikeda but you can't keep to any one subject very long without displaying your ignorance so you jump from one thing to another.

I would love you to get your debate if only you would have to answer questions and stay on topic, but I'm sure you would debate by going on a rant whenever it was your turn to speak. You're incapable of real debate from what I can see.

The facts remain. Daisaku ikeda is a flawed gem [at best]and more correctly, he is fool's gold compared to the Lotus Sutra and Shakyamuni Buddha which are pure gold. Chanting the Daimoku with a CORRECT faith, one can distinguish fools gold from pure gold.

More of what the idiots of Kempon Hokkke <- not a typo call slander
In Nichiren's teaching, this is the practice for "observing the mind," i.e., observing one's own mind and seeing Buddhahood in it. For this reason, his teaching is summarized in the phrase "embracing the Gohonzon is in itself observing one's mind" or "embracing the Gohonzon is in itself attaining Buddhahood." He states in a 1273 letter known as Reply to Kyo'o, "I, Nichiren, have inscribed my life in sumi ink, so believe in the Gohonzon with your whole heart. The Buddha's will is the Lotus Sutra, but the soul of Nichiren is nothing other than Nam-myoho-renge-kyo" (412), and in his 1273 treatise The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind: "Showing profound compassion for those unable to comprehend the gem of the doctrine of three thousand realms in a single moment of life, the Buddha wrapped it within the five characters [of Myoho-renge-kyo], with which he then adorned the necks of the ignorant people of the latter age" (376).Nichikan (1665-1726), the twenty-sixth chief priest of Taiseki-ji temple, interpreted the above passage of volume five of Great Concentration and Insight from the viewpoint of Nichiren's teaching. Nichikan defined "life at each moment" as the life of the eternal Buddha, or Nam-myohorenge-kyo, which is inscribed down the center of the Gohonzon; he further interpreted "endowed with the Ten Worlds" as the Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and other figures inscribed on both sides of Nam-myohorenge-kyo in the Gohonzon. These represent the principles of the mutual possession of the Ten Worlds, the hundred worlds and the thousand factors, and the three thousand realms. According to Nichikan, the sentence "The three thousand realms of existence are all possessed by life in a single moment" refers to the "region of the unfathomable," which he interprets as the object of devotion that embodies the principle of three thousand realms in a single moment of life. This is not to be viewed simply as an external object but as something that exists in the life of a person with faith in the object of devotion. Without faith, the object of devotion endowed with the three thousand realms does not exist within one's life. This, Nichikan stated, is the ultimate meaning of T'ient'ai's doctrine.

Those slanderous teachings of Nichikan:

The "Sanju Hiden Sho" (The Threefold Secret Teaching), which explains by means of a threefold comparison that the ultimate Law or teaching to be propagated in the Latter Day of the Law is Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism.
The first comparison is between the provisional and true teachings. This comparison reveals that the Lotus Sutra is the true teaching because it carries the entirety of Shakyamuni Buddha's enlightenment and that the sutras expounded before it are provisional because they are temporary means to lead the people to the Lotus Sutra.
The second comparison is between the first half and the latter half of the Lotus Sutra. In the latter half or essential teaching, particularly in the Juryo chapter, the eternity of Buddhahood is revealed. The True Cause, True Effect and True Land are also revealed in the Juryo chapter.
The third comparison is between Shakyamuni's and Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. In Shakyamuni's Buddhism, the attainment of Buddhahood requires an unimaginably long period. In contrast, in the case of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism, people can attain Buddhahood in this lifetime. Strictly speaking, they can attain Buddhahood simultaneous with the chanting of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, the fundamental seed of Buddhahood.
The "Montei Hichin Sho" (Meanings Hidden in the Depths), which clarifies that the ultimate Law secretly transmitted by means of the threefold comparison is Nam-myoho-renge-kyo of the Three Great Secret Laws and discusses the Three Great Secret Laws in detail. These are the Honmon no Daimoku (Supreme invokation), Honmon no Dai-Gohonzon (Supreme object of worship), and Honmon no Kaidan (Supreme Sanctuary).
The "Egi Hammon Sho" (Interpretations Based on the Law), which interprets important passages of the Lotus Sutra from. the standpoint of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo of the Three Great Secret Laws and identifies Shakyamuni's Lotus Sutra as the sutra which serves to explain the Daishonin's Buddhism.
The "Mappo Soo Sho" (Teachings for the Latter Day), which sets forth the correct object of worship to be established in the Latter Day of the Law. This treatise explains why the Gohonzon inscribed by Nichiren Daishonin, rather than the image of Shakyamuni Buddha, is the correct object of worship in the Latter Day of the Law.
The "Toryu Gyoji Sho" (The Practice of This School), which explains the correct practice in the Latter Day. It divides the practice into primary practice, or chanting the daimoku, and supporting practice, or reciting the Hoben and Juryo chapters, explaining why these two chapters are recited in gongyo.

And his mandala:
The benevolence and power of the Gohonzon are boundless and limitless and the work is immeasurable and unfathomable. Therefore, if you take faith in this Gohonzon and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, even for a while, no prayer will go unanswered, no sin will remain un-forgiven, all good fortune will be bestowed, and all righteousness will be proven.

Slander indeed Mark Rogow.
