"However, they are alike in that they all abandoned Shakyamuni Buddha." In the next paragraph, Nichiren, referring to those who abandoned Shakyamuni Buddha states, "If there is anyone among my followers who is weak in faith and goes against what I, Nichiren, say, he will meet the same fate as did the Soga family." (MW vol 3, The Supreme Leader of the World, pg 237)
There are countless examples in the SGI and Nichiren Shoshu of proof of the Daishonin's assertions. Nichiu developed white leprosy. Nikkyo burned up in a conflagration while only his entrails remained. President Ikeda's first born son died of a bleeding ulcer as a young man, something virtually unheard of in this day and age. Mr. Kasahara's first born son died from a massive brain injury in a skateboarding accident. George Williams children are sociopaths. A top SGI senior leader was killed in the early eighties when a snow plow ran over his car. Another, in Detroit, died when a heavy metal stage hook took the top of his skull off. A men's division bagpiper was killed and mutilated by the Manson family on the way back from bagpipe practice. Bill Vogel was a Koto who died of an ischemic brain injury, secondary to an asthma attack and Brad Nixon who converted thousands of people to SGI and Nichiren Shoshu died at a relatively young age from Lou Gehrig's disease. Less well known american SGI and Nichiren Shoshu members who died untoward deaths number in the hundreds, if not thousands.
This is all because they denied the Eternal Buddha is Shakyamuni, positing their own ideas and destroying one of the principle teachings of the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Daishonin.
Posted by markrogow at May 10, 2008 08:40 AMListen to yourself, you sound just like the sicko-o people we used to make fun of on ARBN, I left that prison, the Bodhisattvas of the Earth are not crazy religious nuts that slander and rip people apart. My comment about McCormick was personal, because of his many lies and things he has said behind my back because he has no balls, you didn't see the stack of letters in Japan that he and Petry and others wrote about me, you would fall on the floor. Anyway, you need to take a step back, or talk about doctrine.

Posted by: Bruce Maltz at May 10, 2008 09:17 AMActual proof is doctrine. SGI is always talking about their great benefits, far greater than any other practitioners. I present this to balance their assertions with another perception. The Taisekaji sects are nothing special. If anything they receive punishment for their misleading doctrines.

Gerry Falwell can say we had Katrina because the USA was lenient to gays. People are born and they die, to wish something bad on someone because they do not the same religious views as you is pretty dangerous. Someone that things like that, might want to fly a plane into a Taisekiji Temple. I hope you understand the real meaning of what I am saying. The Lotus Sutra says the Bodhisaatvas of the Earth will protect believers, you do not have to think this terrible way.

Posted by: Bruce Maltz at May 10, 2008 10:41 PMNo wish or curse on anyone, just an observation. I wish every SGI member lives long enough to correct their mistaken beliefs.

"I understand your anger with the SGI, however Ryui-eieio is far worse than Ikeda could ever be. My opinion, is that you should go after him, Nichiren Shu, I will even help you, But SGI is not in your grasp, you have to pick your battles.
McCormick is a Punk. And, you don’t understand fujufuse, sorry, but I am not going to explain it to you, But I would love to squash McCormick like a bug, and then Petry will come to protect him. Kempon vs. Shu, that is tradition, not SGI, that is Shoshu territory, My advice to an old friend that now thinks I am Junk,"

Posted by: Mark Rogow at May 11, 2008 08:13 AMMark, I don't even know you, but you do reveal enough to force some analysis. Really, it is a shame you are even posting on this board, and I don't understand why it is permitted. At any rate, you've probably heard this many times before: get some help, Go back to taking your medication - something! Do you have a therapist? If not, get one.
I found this particular post of yours to be not only offensive, but actually terrifying. Dude, wake up and smell the the roses. But most importantly, grow up. Yes, that's it - grow up. Become an adult - a rational one. The only thing this post does is reveal yourself as an angry, hateful, and vengeful little boy. It's a shame, and I feel sad for you right now. I hope you will take a look at this behavior and realize how dysfunctional it is.
Hi Ashley!
I would like to hear your comments on Nichiren's passages in the Supreme Leader of the World Gosho. Either this Buddhism is true or it is not. It is frightening that so many people are putting their Buddhahood and even this temporary existence in jeopardy by practicing the teachings of Taisekaji that deny the Original Eternal Buddha Shakyamuni, one of the principle doctrines of the Lotus Sutra according to Nichiren Daishonion. It is a warning and it is frightening and just because you don't see things this way doesn't mean they aren't so. Can you dispute these obervations? If I weren't to warn you, I would be betraying this wonderful gift of sight and discrimination. As Nichiren says, if you strike mud nothing much happens but if you strike a rock you break your hand. The SGI and Taisekaji is striking the Mount Sumeru of teachings. How could they go unpunished. I feel sorry for those who practice "have it my way" Buddhism. They miss the deep recesses of cause and effect and the understanding of the workings of thusness.
As far as letting me post here, you are no better than the SGI who never want a different perspective aired. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. I turn the heat up so maybe, just maybe, one person will reflect on being a member of these slanderous heretical Buddhist organizations and its consequences. Look around you and tell me that those who practice with the SGI don't seem to suffer more punishment than the general population, let alone, infinitely more than those who practice according to the Lotus Sutra. If you want more examples, I have several more. One up and coming leader whose parachute failed to open on his very first jump. Those who the SGI abandoned when it became clear that they were not going to get well. Those whose first born son strangled himself while playing in the backyard and out his mothers sight for no more than a few minutes. One who was chanting five hours a day of Daimoku and who got out of his stalled car, walked to the back of his car and was struck by another car, losing both his legs. These are only a few people that I know. If you collated the experiences of everyone, you would come up with a staggering amount of tragedy and misforrtune in the SGI and the Nichiren Shoshu.
