It is strange how even some so-called believers in Shakyamuni and Nichiren Daishonin dispute that Shakyamuni preached the Lotus Sutra. Their arguments are shallow, filled with errors and nothing more than "ornate rhetoric and meaningless talk". It appears to be an obsession-compulsion to dispute the Lotus Sutra, the True Votary of the Lotus Sutra, Nan Yueh, Tientai, Miao-lo, Nichiju, Nikko, Nagarjuna and the other votaries. I am truly saddened that their faith and resultant wisdom has not developed beyond that of a mustard seed. They are like the conspiracists who believe the israelis or the americans destroyed the world trade center and not the eighteen saudi national islamic fundamentalists. The Lotus Sutra(Myoho renge kyo) itself is the Three Bodied Tathagata Shakyamuni. Who else but Shakyamuni could have preached the Sublime Dharma of the Lotus Flower Sutra? They even say silly things like, "Shariptra died before the eight year preaching of the Lotus Sutra" when, in fact, he died only several months before the Buddha. It was a great blow to the Sangha, since he was to be the Buddha's successor. It is as if fundemental darkness had blanketed their minds, as if The Devil of the Sixth Heaven had kicked out the Buddha in their minds. This is truly pitiful. They should repent of their errors and waken to the Eternal Buddha within.
