Dear Greg Martin:
I propose a debate. I would like the press to be there, maybe Tricycle and a secular paper, two video set ups, 8 judges amenable to both parties and one co-debater who reads, and writes medieval Japanese and Chinese. I would like to debate the following topics in light of the Lotus Sutra and Gosho:
1).The identity of the Original Eternal Buddha
2.)The nature of the Master/Disciple relationship in Nichiren Buddhism
3.)The significance of the Gohonzon
4.)The significance of the Lotus Sutra(Myoho renge kyo).
5.)The true meaning of the Votary of the Lotus Sutra.
6.)The true meaning of the Nichiren Faith
7.)Shakabuku versus Shoju in the Degenerate Age
The number of hours and number of topics for each debate(or one debate including all the topics)can be worked out by both parties. The monies needed to fund the debate too can be negotiated. It shouldn't cost more than several thousand dollars. I would like the debate to be in July or August or anytime thereafter.
Sincerely
Mark Rogow
Mark,
Do you think Greg Martin is going to read your blog?
More importantly why would anyone dialog with you when you are disrespectful to others!

I already sent him the letter sever4al months ago. we exchanged a few e-mails and he eventually said, "No Thanks." So much for dialogue and life to life communication.
Posted by: mark rogow at March 28, 2008 11:19 PMWell, you won't talk to me, so I guess you are just like Greg Martin. I have several questions to ask you Mark, personally I don't care what group you belong to, I think you know the answers to the questions that I have.

This is a private forum. If you want to debate me there are several things you will have to do:
1).You will have to be chanting every day because I won't debate a non-Buddhist. I will gently lead you back to the faith, howercer, but you will have to repent of your prior actions and publically apologize.
2).If you meet the crieria above [that you are chanting every day], then you will have to arrange the debate, the venue, the judges, one video setup on your part, and half the funds for the debate etc. It will have to be done in August or September or later and I must have at least 3 months to prepare. You can choose the topics as I did for Greg Martin.
