About Nichiren's works, there are 4 ranks.
(1) Nichiren's works in his own handwriting .
(2) Copy of Nichiren's works. Those with little doubt Nichiren's writings.
(3) Copy of Nichiren's works. Those with some doubts as to Nichiren's thoughts.
(4) And forged Nichiren's works.
Also, there are 2 types of Nichiren's works: (a)One is a treatise. (b)The other is a letter to a believer.

The Japanese medieval Tiendai-sect's thoughts were influenced by the Shingon sect. For example, they say that the Buddha is the truth of the universe and then, a human's true self is the Buddha. They conclude that you only have to realize that you are already a Buddha if you want to become a Buddha. Original Tiendai thought is that you have Buddha in your mind. So, St. Nichiren says that if you realize perfectly that you are always with the eternal Buddha and that you are the eternal disciple of this Buddha, you are able to give full play to your Buddha activity.
