Tathagata's Hidden Secret Divine Pervasive Power

Tathagata's Hidden Secret Divine Pervasive Power

Lotus Sutrta Chapter 16, The Measure of Life of the Tahagata

"However, good sons, since I truly attained Buddhahood it has been
immeasureable, limitless hundreds of thousands of myriadss of tens of millions
of nayutas of kalpas."

"The Tathagata knows and sees the appearance of the Three worlds in
accordance with reality: There is no birth and death, neither backsliding nor
emerging......"

''It is not as the Three Worlds see the Three Worlds. In such a matter as thisthe Tathagata sees clearly and is without error."

"Thus the time since I attained Buddhahood is very long and distant.
My life is immeasureable asemkheyas of kalpas and I abide forever and not
extinguished."

"......and it will last twice as long as this."

"Since I attained Buddhahood the number of kalpas that have passed is immeasurable......"

"I have ever been preaching the dharma, teaching and converting
numberless tens of millions of beings, causing them to enter the Buddha way;
then it has been immeasureable kalpas."

"Yet in reality, I do not become extinct; I ever abide here,..."

"I at that time say to the masses of beings, 'I am ever here, not extinguished.' "

"The masses of beings see the kalpas exhausted, When they are burned by the great fires; this land of mine is peaceful and secure;"

"Though my Pure Land is not destroyed. Yet the masses see it burned up."

"Those who have performed merit. who are gentle and pliant, simple and
upright, then all see my Body. staying here, preaching the Dharma."

"The illumination of the Light of my Wisdom is immeasureable; My lifespan is immeasureable kalpas:"

'You, those who have wisdom , do not produce doubts about this."

"For the sake of his children gone mad, though in reality he exists, yet he says he dies."

"Because the unenlightened worldlings are wrong headed, though in reality i exist, I say I am extinguished."

'I ever know the masses of beings, proceeding or not proceeding on the way, according to what will save them, I preach for them all sorts of dharmas. I myself ever form this thought: 'By what shall I cause the masses of beings to be able to enter the supreme Way and rapidly attain Buddhahood."

This also pertains to us, the disciples converted by Him in the infinite past. All beings have appearance, nature and entity or the Three Truths(ketai, kutai, and chutai). All are eternal. What distinguishes us from the Buddha?

The Buddha has the appearance, nature and entity of a Buddha. the Three Truths of a Buddha(Hosshin, Hosshin and Ojin). We have the appearance , nature and entity of a Bodhisattva or a being in any the Nine Worlds from Hell to Bodhisattva(ketai, kutai and chutai). How can we come to have the appearance, nature and entity of a Buddha?

Only by chanting Namu Myoho renge kyo and having faith in the eternal life of
of the Buddha.
