Coming Attractions

While I'm working on Part 2 of Practicing Without Faith I thought I'd share some of the cool titles I've come up with for future blogs. Whether I actually write them or not we'll see. For your approval:

Surfing the Event Horizon

Blue, Red, Purple and Gold: Transcending Crosstown Rivalries

Addicted to Insight, Addicted to Breakthrough

Out of Body or Out of Mind?

Getting Used to the Smell of the Privy, Getting Used to the Smell of the Roses

And the Dog Shall Lie Down With the Cat: Thoughts on Eternity

The Invisible Chapter of the Lotus Sutra

It's a Wonderful Life

Feelings. Nothing More Than Feelings

I Guess I Have Been Contemplating my Navel: Who Knew!

Playing With Words

Nurturing My Inner Blackhole

Jesus in the Cheesetoast

Bikini Zombie Slayers: Will All My Dreams Come To Naught?

No More Signs, No More Coincidences, No More Benefits

That's all I've got for now but I really do have thoughts to go along with each of the titles. I'm hoping that writing down the titles will help me to remember the thoughts that go with them. Let me know if any of them particularly make you want to know more and then, who know's, maybe I'll write it.

See y'all soon,

Bill

How about: "The best revenge is absolute happiness!"

Hi Joe,

How about it? It's a title that means something to you but I wouldn't know what to write since it doesn't mean anything to me. I could write something on it but I'm sure it'd be completely different than what you're thinking. Why don't you write it on the guest blog?

Well, I was thinking you could just write Part 2 of the blog you started about Practicing/Living with Faith?

Posted by: CMC at April 27, 2009 09:32 PM

Good to know that you care. I've got a draft of it but amn't happy. Got stuck and of course a bunch of other ideas started coming other than the one I wanted to work on. So I thought the title writing excercise might help me get going again. Will have the second installment this week though.

It was kind of fun. But obviously they don't mean anything other than to me.

I like how you used your creativity/humor to overcome writer's block or writer's dissatisfaction- keep it flowing. FWP is active!

I'd like to see you get around to doing
"No More Signs, No More Coincidences, No More Benefits"
it reminds me of "No wife, no horse, no mustache."
which remains a mystery.

And "Surfing the Event Horizon" especially if it contains something about the collapse of the state vector as I feel this would shed light on the effect of mind on matter.

I had to look up state vector and the collapse thereof. Within my metaphorical blackholes and my metaphorical surfing of the event horizon there might indeed be collapsing state vectors which might indeed have some relation to the effect of mind on matter.

Damn good stuff there!
